Post-Publication Discussion
Guided by the COPE Core Practice on Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections, the Jurnal Gizi dan Dietetik Indonesia (Indonesian Journal of Nutrition and Dietetics) encourages communication with the editors regarding errors, concerns, and issues related to scientific integrity, provided that such matters are supported by scientific evidence.
How to Initiate a Discussion
Authors and readers are welcome to contact the Editorial Office using the email subject line Post-Publication Discussion: [Article DOI]. The reported concern must be clearly identified and supported by relevant scientific evidence. The person submitting the concern must also provide their contact information, such as a telephone number or email address.
Discussions may address research methodology, interpretation of results, research ethics, reporting accuracy, or missing declarations. Comments must focus on the scholarly content of the work, avoid personal attacks, and maintain the confidentiality of research participants’ information.
Editorial Assessment
The editors will assess and review submitted reports and, where necessary, seek clarification from the authors concerned. Independent experts, relevant institutions, or ethics committees may also be contacted to assist in verifying the evidence and establishing the facts.
Comments and responses deemed suitable may be published as linked correspondence following editorial assessment. Acceptance for publication is not guaranteed.
Corrections and Other Editorial Notices
Correction
A correction may be issued to address errors or omissions that do not compromise the reliability of the article's main findings. This may include inaccurate or missing declarations that require amendment.
Expression of Concern
An expression of concern may be published to inform readers of significant unresolved issues while further editorial assessment or formal investigation is ongoing.
Retraction
Retraction may be considered when an article's findings are found to be unreliable or when serious ethical violations compromise the validity or integrity of the publication. Decisions must be based on the available evidence and guided by the relevant Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) recommendations, as outlined in the Retraction policy.
