Author Guidelines

Manuscripts must be original research that has never been published and is not currently under consideration or posted in any media. Manuscripts that have been presented at scientific meetings must be clearly stated (footnote).

Manuscripts should consist of the following sections: title, author name(s), author address(es), author institution(s), abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusion and recommendations, acknowledgements (if necessary), and references. Detailed provisions can be found in the writing guidelines.

Each manuscript is blindly reviewed by at least two peer reviewers. Decisions for publication, revision, or rejection are based on reviewers’ recommendations. Manuscripts that are not accepted for publication will not be returned to the authors unless requested. Revised manuscripts should be returned to the editor without delay. Authors are fully responsible for the content of their articles.

Guidelines for Online Submission

Authors must first register as an Author at:
http://ejournal.almaata.ac.id/index.php/IJND/user/register

After completing the registration form, click the Register button.

To begin the submission process, click New Submission and follow these steps:

Step 1 – Starting the Submission

Authors must read and check the submission checklist and copyright notice. Comments for the editor may be added.

Step 2 – Uploading the Submission

Click Browse (or Choose File) to locate the manuscript file on your computer, then click Open. Click Upload, and once completed, click Save and Continue.

Step 3 – Entering Submission Metadata

Enter author metadata, including the corresponding author. Insert the manuscript title, abstract, and keywords into the provided text fields.

Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files

Authors are required to upload an author statement letter. Supplementary files may include research instruments, datasets (in accordance with research ethics), unavailable sources, figures, tables, or other supporting materials.

Step 5 – Confirmation

Click Finish Submission to complete the process. The corresponding author will receive a confirmation email and may track the manuscript’s progress by logging into the journal website.

Authors can monitor manuscript status at any time through the online submission system.


Author Fee

This journal charges the following fees:

Article Submission Fee: IDR 0.00
Authors are required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.

Article Publication Fee: IDR 2,000,000.00
If the manuscript is accepted, authors will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publication costs.


Guidelines of Writing

Manuscripts should be typed using Microsoft Word on A4 paper, Arial font size 11, 1.5 spacing, with margins of 3 cm on all sides. Manuscript length should be 8–20 pages, with page numbers placed at the bottom right corner.


1. Title

1.1. The title should be written in English, be specific and concise, and not exceed 12 words in Bahasa Indonesia or 10 words in English (or 90 characters).
1.2. The title should be capitalized at the beginning of the sentence.


2. Author Name and Institution

2.1. Author names should be written without academic degrees, followed by superscript letters corresponding to institutional affiliations and addresses.
2.2. One author must be designated as the corresponding author, including an email address or phone number.


3. Abstract

3.1. Abstracts must be written structurally in Bahasa Indonesia and English, in italics.
3.2. Abstract length should be 250–300 words.
3.3. Abstracts should include background, objectives, methods, results, conclusions, and keywords.
3.4. A maximum of five keywords should be provided.


4. Introduction

The introduction should present the research background and relevant supporting literature.


5. Materials and Methods

5.1. Research design, time, sample, and variables should be clearly described.
5.2. Experimental studies must include materials, specifications, and sources.
5.3. Methods must be reproducible and properly cited if adopted from other sources.
5.4. Data analysis should be described briefly.


6. Results

Tables and figures must be numbered sequentially and referred to in the text. Table titles are placed above tables, while figure captions are placed below figures. Editable files (Excel or JPG) should be provided.


7. Discussion

Discussions should be supported by relevant and up-to-date literature.


8. Conclusion and Recommendation

Conclusions must reflect the study objectives and be derived from results and discussion.


9. Acknowledgements (if necessary)

Acknowledgements may include individuals or institutions that contributed to the research.


10. References

10.1. References must follow the Vancouver style numbering system. Use of reference management software such as Mendeley is recommended.
10.2. References should be numbered in the order of appearance using Arabic numerals in brackets.
Example:
“…data accuracy in this research could be matched with Riskesdas 2010 (1).”

10.3. Journal titles should be abbreviated according to Index Medicus.
10.4. Abstracts may not be cited as references.
10.5. Articles accepted but not yet published should be cited as in press.
10.6. Personal communications should be avoided unless necessary and permitted.
10.7. All references must be verified by the authors.
