Focus and Scope

Jurnal Gizi dan Dietetik Indonesia (Indonesian Journal of Nutrition and Dietetics), abbreviated as IJND (p-ISSN 2303-3045 and e-ISSN 2503-183X), is a peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing updated research and non-research articles in the area of nutrition and dietetics. The scopes of IJND are:

  1. Clinical Nutrition: Enteral and parenteral nutrition, experimental nutrition in humans and other animal species, inpatient and outpatient diet.

  2. Maternal and Child Nutrition: Exclusive breastfeeding, complementary food, macro- and micronutrient deficiency, nutrition in adolescence, preconception, pregnancy, and lactating women.

  3. Public Health Nutrition: Nutritional epidemiology, development of dietary intake and dietary assessment tools, large-scale data analysis.

  4. Obesity and Non-Communicable Diseases: The impact of nutrition and lifestyle on the development of NCDs (diabetes mellitus, hypertension, cardiovascular disease).

  5. Food Service Management: Food waste studies, food safety, food service management in specific industries.

  6. Food Science and Technology: Food formulation, development of new food products, food preservation and food storage, bioactive food components, etc.

Papers that do not fall under the scope as described above may be submitted with adequate justification on the importance of the topic being studied. We prefer innovative and relevant papers for our international readers.
