Urgensi Penggunaan Internet Of Things (IOT) Dalam Pembelajaran Abad Ke-21 Berbasis Ketahanan Pangan di Smk Pertanian

Abstract


Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya krisis pangan di Indonesia. Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) bidang pertanian menjadi salah satu target pemerintah dalam rangka membatu meningkatkan ketahanan pangan di Indonesia. Salah satu cara dalam meningkatkan ketahanan pangan yaitu melalui penggunaan teknologi dalam sistem pertanian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji urgensi penggunaan IoT dalam pembelajaran di bidang pertanian yang dapat mendukung ketahanan pangan di Indonesia. Metode penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah saturated sampling. Adapun sampel yang di ambil adalah guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) yang mengajar di bidang pertanian sebanyak 30 guru. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan analisis data statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa pentingnya penggunaan IoT dalam pembelajaran bidang pertanian dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran (baik secara kualitas maupun kuantitas) yang dapat menghasilkan lulusan dengan keterampilan teknologi sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri abad ke -21, yang nantinya juga berdampak pada hasil panen pertanian yang unggul. Implikasi penelitian menunjukkan kepada pemerintah sebagai pemangku kebijakan agar memfasilitasi prasarana dalam penyediaan IoT untuk media pembelajaran di SMK khususnya dalam bidang pertanian guna mendukung peningkatan ketahanan pangan di Indonesia.
