Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.

  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.

  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

A. Guide to Journal Manuscripts

  1. Articles to be submitted in Bangun Desa : Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat is the result of community servuces
  2. Title, Title of the article must be about 15 words which can give an overview of research that has been done, Cambria 15,  Bold, Center
  3. Author's name, complete without any title written and typed under the title of the article , without using titles
  4. Origin of institution, written on behalf of institution of work (Study Program, Faculty, University, province/region/country). Example: Department of MI Teacher Education, FITK, University of Alma Ata, Yogyakarta/West Java/Indonesia
  5. Email address, write the email address which is still active and written based on the principle of institution.
  6. Abstract, written in two languages, namely Indonesian and English. The abstract contains a brief description of the problem and purpose of the activity, the method used and the results of the activity. Abstract emphasizes on the results of community services. Typing abstracts is done with single space with a narrow right and left margin of the main text with about 200 words
  7. Keywords, number of keywords 3-6 words.
  8. Systematics of the artaicles are: introduction; methods; results and discussion; conclusion; references

B. Guide to Quotes and References

  1. Authors are encouraged to quote some articles from Bangun Desa : Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat  all data or quotations presented in articles taken from other authors' articles should enclose reference sources. References should use application management references such as Mendeley, End Note, or Zotero.
  2. Writing format used in Bangun Desa : Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat follows the format applied by the Vancouver Style
  3. All references used in the article should be included in this section. In this section, all references used must be taken from the main sources (scientific journals and at least 50% of all references) published in the 5 years. Wikipedia, personal blogs, and non-scientific sites are not allowed for reference. Each article must have at least 10 references.
