Abstract
This study aims to analyze public health characteristics in a specific region to establish a baseline for targeted intervention planning. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative approach surveying heads of households, the research delineates several critical health challenges. Key findings indicate elevated maternal risks associated with Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) and medical complications, low utilization of effective family planning, and pervasive smoking behavior among male adolescents. Additionally, a high prevalence of hypertension among the elderly is further exacerbated by prevalent self-medication practices without professional supervision. These issues are compounded by undernourishment in toddlers and suboptimal environmental sanitation. Collectively, these insights underscore the urgency for integrated intervention strategies centered on health education and strengthened family health surveillance. In terms of policy implications, these results necessitate a strategic realignment of local public health programs toward preventive and promotive frameworks to sustainably mitigate the regional disease burden.
